Installation

Get Kibble running on your Shopify store in minutes. Choose the method that works for you — Theme Store, ZIP upload, or CLI.

From Shopify Theme Store

Find Kibble in the Theme Store
Search for "Kibble" in the Shopify Theme Store or follow the link from your purchase confirmation.

Add the theme
Click Try theme to preview it on your store, or Add theme to install it directly.

Navigate to your themes
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes. Kibble will appear under "Theme library".

Publish and customize
Click Publish to make it live, then Customize to start editing in the Theme Editor.

Manual Upload (ZIP)

Download the theme ZIP
Download the kibble-theme.zip file from your purchase confirmation or customer portal.

Go to Online Store → Themes
In your Shopify admin, navigate to Online Store → Themes.

Upload the ZIP file
Click Add theme → Upload ZIP file, then select the file you downloaded.

Publish
Once uploaded, click Publish to make Kibble your active theme.

Via Shopify CLI

For developers who prefer working locally:

shopify theme push --store your-store.myshopify.com

ℹ️

Shopify CLI v3+

Make sure you're using Shopify CLI v3 or higher. Run shopify version to check. Install with npm install -g @shopify/cli.

After Installation

Once the theme is active, here's what to do next:

1. Choose a preset

Theme settings → Colors → select Kibble, Ocean, Terracotta, or Sage.

2. Add sections

Open Theme Editor and add pet-specific sections to your homepage.

3. Set up navigation

Configure menus to match your product collections and pet categories.

4. Add products

Upload images and set up collections for each pet type you carry.

Existing store?

If you're switching from another theme, your existing sections and customizations won't carry over. Take a screenshot of your current layout before publishing Kibble.
